Através de outros olhos

My therapist said "when you are playing in your fantasy world, the world misses out on you and that's quite a loss". My group colleagues agreed and told me I will never go unnoticed, that I was born to shine like a star. Love them for all the soul strokes, but can't seem to make sense out of it. 

Are they really talking about me? 'Cause I've always been the invisible one in the crowd. That person no one remembers the name, the one who's always someone else's friend as a reference. 

Surely they cannot be talking about me...

Family ties

I am quite proud to be like my mum in certain things, yet I hope that in others I am her opposite. Or that if I am not, my friends will slap me into normality.

There is nothing worse...

than a friend in trouble, especially if we hardly know what happened and can't reach them on the phone.
That is the ultimate feeling of impotence, not being able to be there for them, hug them, let them know we care and that all will be ok.
There is a small sootheness when we hear their voice, but it takes a while to relieve that knot in the stomach.
Hope you really are ok, silly boy.

Efeitos da bebida

Não sou moça dada à água. Aquilo não me cai bem e sempre ouvi dizer que desenvolve girinos na barriga. Sempre passei dias a fio sem beber um copo da cena, líquidos diários são café e chá. Mas os senhores embaladores de águas tiveram a ideia genial de dar sabor à coisa e tudo mudou. Agora pespego com uma garrafa de litro e meio ao lado do monitor no trabalho e lá vou bebendo. Claro está que se estiver em casa ou a trabalhar ao ar livre, este projecto saudável cai por terra num piscar de olhos. Mas enfim, já é um começo não?
