Why not?

"I can't" is the worst expression ever...
it leaves you speechless... there is no valid argument against it.
I rather hear you say you don't want to...
at least I would have a say,
I could fight back or make my move.
"I can't" the words echo in my head...
there is no glue for shattered dreams or broken hearts...
through the tears I gaze at the pieces of my heart
like a scrapbook of past days...
when I was young...
when there was still dreams and hope...
before the deafening negative: "I can't".
